About Apna Ghar Scheme Information Portal
Democratizing access to clear, unbiased, and mathematically accurate housing finance knowledge for millions of hardworking Pakistani families.
1. Who We Are
ApnaGharScheme.pk was established by an independent consortium of Pakistani researchers, financial analysts, and civil tech enthusiasts. We recognized a profound disconnect in our country's affordable housing ecosystem: while both federal and provincial governments have launched multi-billion-rupee low-cost housing programs, ordinary citizens frequently struggle to decipher legal land revenue jargon, complex bank markups, debt burden ratios (DBRs), and computerized portal requirements.
Too often, deserving low-income applicants fall prey to deceptive private middlemen, fraudulent social media agents, or face unnecessary application rejections simply due to minor documentation oversights. Our portal exists to eliminate that opacity.
2. Our Core Mission & Purpose
- Zero-Cost Public Education: We provide completely free, plain-language walkthroughs for schemes such as the federal Wazir-e-Azam Apna Ghar Program ("Ghar Ho Tu Apna") and Punjab’s Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar (ACAG).
- Empowerment Through Financial Calculators: Our digital installment engines allow citizens to model projected monthly repayments, effective markup costs, and down-payment requirements before committing to mortgage obligations.
- Protection Against Fraud: We actively inform citizens that state portals do not charge hidden registration fees and that legal submissions must only be conducted through authenticated government gateways.
- E-E-A-T & Research Integrity: Every statistic, eligibility rule, and document checklist is cross-verified against official notifications from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA), and participating banks.
3. What We Do NOT Do (Our Non-Commercial Guarantee)
To maintain absolute public trust and regulatory compliance, we adhere to a strict code of institutional neutrality:
- We do NOT process loan applications or collect personal identity files.
- We do NOT charge fees, commissions, or consulting charges of any kind.
- We do NOT claim to represent or act as an agent of the Government of Pakistan, Government of the Punjab, or any municipal authority.
- We direct 100% of applicants to official, accredited state registration systems (apnaghar.gov.pk and acag.punjab.gov.pk).
4. Our Verification Standards
Our editorial team reviews changes in government gazettes, State Bank circulars, and banking mortgage products on a weekly basis. Whether it is updates to the National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) poverty scorecard (PMT thresholds) or new tranches in Punjab’s interest-free 15 Lakh loans, our guides are refreshed with timely, verified facts.
